As requested, picture spam ahoy for anyone who cares! Do not click if you don’t want to see random pictures of Ritzy-as-hell Tudorville at dusk. Because when I’m left alone to wander around interesting architecture, the weather is good, and I’m too tired to do any more work before getting up and doing more work-trip stuff, I take lots of pictures on my phone. One of these days I will actually get a decent camera and bring it with me. (On work trips? Who am I kidding?)
I’m not going to mess with the slideshow function, so this is a scroll-down.
View from a hotel room:
I’m pretty sure the reason I got booked into a 16th century coach house the interior of which was a location for scenes in Four Weddings and a Funeral instead of an Ibis or equivalent is that there were no cheap hotels in the area.
This is livin’, this is style, this is elegance by the mile
Oh the posh posh traveling life, the traveling life for me
First cabin and captain’s table regal company
Whenever I’m bored I travel abroad but ever so properly
Port out, starboard home, posh with a capital P-O-S-H, posh
The hands that hold the scepters, every head that holds a crown
They’ll always give their all for me they’ll never let me down
I’m on my way to far away tah tah and toodle-oo
And fare thee well, and Bon Voyage arrivederci too
(More of a wander around the streets . . . )
(Back to the hotel for a pint before retiring.)
(Okay, so I was overtired at the point I decided to put on the radio before sleeping, but this made me laugh. . .)
